- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I contracted Mitchell Payne to handle my mother and father's estate after they died. Initial phone conversation was good, 1st meeting was good (although it took 3 weeks to get an appt.), then it took forever to get any correspondence returned. Spent 6 more months dealing with no communication from him, when I rarely did reach him, his tone was always, "I'm busy, make it quick". I finally threatened to discontinue using his services, got a petulant letter from him a few days later basically saying, "You can't fire me, I quit". He sent me the file, tried to guage me on overnight shipping fees when I didn't request or need it. Looking through the file, I discovered he hadn't even started my father's estate. When I voiced my complaints, his response was, "Most of my clients are happy with my service" (lawyer-speak for "f-you", I guess). No pride in his work, arrogant attitude towards his client. By chance, I spoke to another client in Rock Hill who had a similar experience.By A Google User, March 17, 2017
